The exhibition "Pop Art Design" of the Vitra Design Museum in Weil welcomed visitors with the installation "Silver Clouds" by Andy Warhol in front of the museum. The silver cushions floated unmistakably in their own pavilion: an inflated bubble, protected from wind and weather.
An impressive spectacle.
The pneumatic and circular (spherical) pavilion had to be airtight and stable. And yet it required an invisible technical entrance to sustain the pillows daily.
A suitable frame for the gracefully floating installation of Warhol.
